"The place I like most about this chair is its feminine femininity.

I think the success of this seat comes from the perfect combination of precision industrial production methods and softness of materials, especially in the back of the seat with a curved back.

I've always been fascinated by this timeless design.


Known for his unprocessed materials and intuitive design, lex pott designed a work called "back to nature" that reveals the most primitive features of industrial products.

His work USES the material itself and the processing method to show the unique personality.

The designer USES a combination of surface oxidized steel, brass, bronze and other materials to create a weather-frosted appearance and add a copper-green accelerated oxidation process on the seat surface.

"I chose to imitate the shape of the champagne, so I sprayed it on the surface of the seat with yellow paint.

"When I first saw the chaise a seat, I found the shape and the adornment of heavy and complicated surface paint wooden chairs, but even so, it is immediately reminded me of when I was 17 at a flea market to find a wooden seats.

I like this seat very much, because it is bold, every little detail and every component is defined in different colors.

While the 'chaise a' seat reminds me of other forms, it also makes me realize that the specific decoration I think of can be combined with this chair.

Embossing plate to ensure seat, seat surface strength perforation to prevent water, multiple welding point is clearly visible and so on, these little details are telling the making and decoration 'chaise a seat the whole process, including full seat's own personality.

I just painted it by hand on these individual elements.

At the same time, the chair is not the same plane as the carpet, but a stereo has the body quantity article, so its adornment process will be more dynamic characteristic.

And that's why I have the opportunity to personalize this work with a pop art style.

Since the seat is designed to celebrate the 80th anniversary, the colors I choose are bright and festive.

"Our design philosophy is to let the public know more about the 'chaise a' seat.

So we didn't make any changes to the original design, nor did we add other elements to it.

Instead, hang the original seat on a cantilever in the balance, with a piece of metal equal to the weight of the seat on the other end.

We hope that this exhibition will give the public an opportunity to explore the production process of the 'chaise a' seat, and to appreciate the subtlety of the design of the seat.
